Inducted by Mayor Sita Sahu on Wednesday, seven councilors of the Patna Municipal Corporation were sworn in as empowered members of the Standing Committee (ESC).
They are empowered to grant administrative approval to projects up to Rs 1 crore.
The political affairs of the PMC must first pass from them. The members who took oath were Shweta Rai from Ward 14, Kanti Devi (Ward 26), Kaveri Singh (Ward 30), Ashish Kumar Sinha (Ward 38), Indradeep Chandravashi (Ward 48), Manoj Kumar alias Munna (Ward 67) and Vinod Kumar (Ward 70). The HSR has nine members, including the mayor and deputy mayor.
